As part of implementing its Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) for Reaffirmation of Accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), Thomas Nelson Community College instituted a new plan, Advising: Plan Now. Succeed Now.
During summer 2016, 56 students completed JumpStart, a summer bridge program focused on the needs of freshman entering Thomas Nelson.
With 30 participants at the Hampton campus and 26 at the Historic Triangle campus, the program incorporated cohort learning groups, peer mentors, team-building activities and more.
